Achievement Centre

“Aspire, Act, Achieve”. At The British International School Casablanca, we believe that “Every Child Matters”. Through our recently created Achievement Centre, we aim to ensure that our vision for Inclusive Education is visible and a reality. Our vision is that we strive for and achieve success together by all learners receiving the support they need to meaningfully belong to their school and wider community, feel valued for their contributions, engage purposefully in learning and experience academic, cultural, social and emotional success in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

BISC welcomes students with a range of learning preferences and, on admission, The Achievement Centre, is involved to ensure that students who are English Language Learners, students who are gifted and talented and students who have special education needs and disabilities, can be provided with the appropriate support to enable them to thrive. The Achievement Centre also offers one-to-one student support in cases of need for well-being and emotional reasons, as well as having linked to high quality outside professionals, such as Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists, if referral is appropriate. Partnership working is the key to success in supporting any student and therefore a key focus is building and developing relationships with parents and carers to ensure that everyone is working together with the needs of the individual child at the heart of all we do.

All staff at BISC are committed to ensuring that all our children are able to learn in supportive, inspiring and motivating environments. Lessons are differentiated to ensure that individual needs with additional support individually or in small group enhances learning opportunities for identified students. All members of the BISC community are encouraged to work together showing respect, tolerance and understanding of each other and to look for the strengths within the diverse range of individuals within our school community.

Our Achievement Centre (ACe) offers a variety of personalised support programmes to ensure that every child has opportunities to make progress towards identified goals, building on individual strengths and successes, enabling each to develop and achieve his/her full potential.
